Nothing says “I love you” quite like a shared cinnamon bun, warm from the oven and dressed up with fresh strawberry icing, a creamy white chocolate drizzle and a little strawberry heart on top.
This sweet treat turns our beloved Dough Tribe Cinnamon Bun Sharing Square into a Valentine’s moment to remember - perfect for breakfast in bed, brunch dates, or just a cosy night at home.

You’ll Need
For the bun
- Dough Tribe Cinnamon Bun Sharing Square
- White chocolate Icing
- Fresh strawberries
For the Strawberry Icing
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 100g unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups icing sugar, sifted
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Method
1. Bake the Cinnamon Bun
Defrost and heat up the Dough Tribe Cinnamon Bun Sharing Square in the oven. Let it cool slightly - you want it warm, not hot, so the icing sits perfectly on top.
2. Make the Strawberry Icing
First, create a Strawberry Syrup:
- Simmer frozen strawberries in a small saucepan for 8–10 minutes until soft and syrupy.
- Blend until smooth.
- Return to the pan and gently simmer until thick and jam-like.
- Cool completely.
Then, whip the icing once the syrup has cooled:
- Beat butter until pale and fluffy.
- Add 2–3 tbsp cooled strawberry purée and mix until smooth.
- Gradually beat in icing sugar until spreadable.
- Add lemon juice or salt to taste.
Too soft? Add more icing sugar. Too thick? Add a tiny splash of milk or extra purée.
3. Assemble
Spread strawberry icing generously over the warm bun. Drizzle over the White Chocolate Icing. Slice a strawberry in half and press the halves together to form a heart. Place on top.
Slice, share, and serve while still slightly warm.
