Sausage Sizzle Pizza (aka The Dad Special)

This Father’s Day, skip the boring gifts and serve Dad something he actually wants: beer in hand, BBQ fired up, and a pizza that tastes like a sausage sizzle.

What you’ll need:

• 1 DT margherita pizza base
• Grated mozzarella + cheddar mix
• 2–3 BBQ sausages, grilled and sliced on the angle
• Caramelised onions (or grilled onion rings if you want the true Bunnings effect)
• Smokey BBQ sauce (yep, the hero ingredient - and spoiler alert: you’re getting one free with your order this Father’s Day)
• Optional. Sliced capsicum or chilli for colour & bite or a zig-zag of mustard to seal the deal.

How to make it:

1. Fire up the BBQ with a pizza stone inside (lid down if you’ve got it), or warm up your Dough Tribe Pizzeria Pro Oven on Setting 3.
2. Remove your chilled pizza from it's packaging.
3. Load up with sausage slices, cooked onions and any extras dad fancies.
4. Cook until the crust is crisp and cheese is bubbling (about 6–8 mins on the BBQ, 4 minutes Pizzeria Pro Oven).
5. Finish with a drizzle of that smokey bbq sauce & mustard if you want the true snag taste.

This can also be made in your indoor oven if the weather takes a turn (or just take our oven indoors).
